EFFECT OF EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE ON STUDENTS’ ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE IN PAKISTAN

Abstract
 The aim of the quantitative correlational study was to investigate association between students’ academic performance and emotional intelligence. In this study, 700 10th graders from 20 high schools in district Lahore were randomly selected. By administering Bar-On (2002) “Emotional Quotient Inventory Short form,” intelligence assessed, whereas their achievement determined by results on ninth-grade final examinations. Techniques for inferential statistical data analysis used, including Pearson r, independent sample t-test, linear regression.According study's findings, are favorably associated. Academic mean scores varied across male female professors. outcomes also showed that, at secondary level, learners’ significantly impacted findings that is influenced abilities necessary good students perform well school.
